As many may know, Pope Benedict XVI's first consitory is coming up. I've been thinking of who from America I would like to see get the read hat. The guys who come to mind are Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver, Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz of Lincoln, and Archbishop Raymond Burke of St. Louis. Well, Whisper's in the Loggia is reporting that Bishop Bruskewitz's name is being talked about. Of course, the red hat is usually given to those instated in diocese's that usually get them. St. Louis has been given them, if I'm not mistaken, but Denver and Lincoln have not. So where do you put Bishop Bruskewitz if these rumors are any good? Something that absolutely has to be done (again assuming if these rumors are true) is to make sure his successor is of the same quality as Bruskewitz. He's done to much good for Lincoln to just be replaced by a wash.
