Virginia Diocese Cruising

For eons, the Arlington Diocese's website wouldn't open on the computer here. Well it finally is working for me again.

But first, the Diocese of Richmond. Richmond will be ordaining four dudes to the priesthood this July. That's unheard of for this diocese. At least one of them I've One heard to be quite a good future-priest.

Now, Arlington. Bishop Loverde has apparently expanded Arlington's caliber of seminaries it sends it seminarians to by two. One of them is the Pontifical College Josephinum in Ohio. Heard great stuff about that.

Another is St. John Vianney Seminary in Colorado. I hadn't hear very much about that but it seems like every other seminary is called that. So I took a close look and sure enough, it was one that I had heard of. It really belongs to the Archdiocese of Denver and is therefore under the care of the very good Archbishop Charles Chaput. I guess he's expanded the use of it to other dioceses. Regardless, if it's under his care, it's going to be reliable.

Very good choices by Bishop Loverde! Hopefully Bishop DiLorenzo here in Richmond will do the same. There are rumors that the seminaries Richmond uses, even the infamous St. Mary's "Pink Palace" in Baltimore, are changing, but still.
